Zel Tech wins a $165.3 million OASIS task order to provide a variety of professional services to the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Agency.

Zel Tech has won a $165.3 million OASIS task order to provide the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Agency with a variety of professional services.

The small business will provide services in three areas:

  • Research, experimental development and rapid acquisition
  • Development and fielding of counter-threat technologies
  • Delivery of urgent mission solutions

The company also will identify and maintain an understanding of risks, vulnerabilitys and capability gaps.

The defense agency wants to be able to respond rapidly to new threats with rapid acquisition of services that can support counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency needs.

Most of the work will be conducted in Virginia but Zel Tech employees will also be embedded as needed with deployed U.S. forces.

The contract runs through Aug. 31, 2011. Three companies bid on the task order.
