Parsons wins two contracts from MDA totaling $48M

Parsons Government Services Inc. has won two contracts totaling $48 million from the Missile Defense Agency.

Under the first contract, which is worth $40.8 million, Parsons will provide advisory and assistance services for systems engineering, modeling and simulation, in addition to offering support for the Ballistic Missile Defense System through architecture and systems engineering.

The contract has a base period of performance of four months and an option period of 3.5 months. Work under this contract will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., Colorado Springs, Colo. and the National Capital Region and is expected to be complete in April 2017, the Defense Department said in a release.

Under the second contract, which is worth $7.2 million, the company will provide advisory and assistance services and conduct critical engineering activities that support space and directed energy engineering.  

The contract has a six-month period of performance and an optional six months. Work under this contract will also be performed in Huntsville, Ala., Colorado Springs, Colo. and the National Capital Region and is expected to be complete in August 2017, the Defense Department said in a release.
