BAE Systems wins $8.7M contract to provide software to Air Force Research Lab

BAE Systems has won an $8.7 million contract to provide software to the Air Force Research Laboratory.

BAE Systems has won an $8.7 million contract to provide software to the Air Force Research Laboratory.

Under the contract, the company will research, develop  and deliver a PHOENIX software system that will enable first responders to remove a non-cooperative organization from its network infrastructure and then reform on a different secure emergency network, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Burlington, Mass. and is expected to be complete in July 2020.

The Air Force Research Laboratory received 70 offers for the contract.
