Four companies have won a four-year $11.2 million contract to develop a system to help detect chemical weapons for the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity.

Four companies have won a four-year $11.2 million contract to develop a system to help detect chemical weapons for the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity.

The winners are:

  • LGS Innovations
  • Block Engineering Inc.
  • Spectrum Photonics
  • Leidos

Under the contract, the companies will develop solutions capable of detecting trace chemical residues on surfaces from up to 30 meters using infrared spectroscopy, LGS Innovations said in a release.

The contract was awarded by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory.
