Lockheed Martin taps new VP, strategy and business for Space Systems

Lockheed Martin has appointed Kay Sears vice president of strategy and business development for the company’s Space Systems business area, effective April 4.

Lockheed Martin has appointed Kay Sears vice president of strategy and business development for the company’s Space Systems business area, effective April 4.

In her new role, Sears will lead business growth through a comprehensive strategy to develop new markets and strengthen partnerships with existing customers. She will also lead strategic planning and advanced technology concepts, the company said in a release.

Sears joins the company from Intelsat General, where she served as president since 2008. Before Intelsat, Sears helped launch government business units at G2 Satellite Solutions and Verestar.
