MacAulay-Brown wins $40M contract to support AFRL

MacAulay-Brown has won a $40 million contract to provide the Air Force Research Lab with Spectrum Warfare Evaluation and Assessment Technology Engineering Research, or SWEATER.

The mission of SWEATER is to conduct research, exploratory and advanced development in the areas of radio frequency, electronic attack and electronic protection for ground based radar and airborne RF threats, the company said in a release.

Under the contract, MacB will provide systems engineering and analysis, advanced instrumentation research and development, electronic warfare capability prototyping and RF sensor capability prototyping.

The contract will help the Air Force evaluate countermeasures and assessment against threat radars as well as communication systems in a free radiation environment, MacB said in a release.

Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.
