Tecolote Research wins $39.3M acquisition, financial support contract

Tecolote Research has won a $39.3 million contract to provide the Air Force with global positioning systems acquisition and financial support.

Tecolote Research has won a $39.3 million contract to provide the Air Force with global positioning systems acquisition and financial support.

Under the contract, Tecolote Research will provide the Space and Missile Command with a range of acquisition, financial and administrative capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition activities, the Defense Department said in a release.

The company’s work will help the Space and Missile Command with information, evaluations, processes to eliminate waste, standardizing best practices, reducing cycle times and cost of being business.

Work will be performed at Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., and Littleton Colo., and is expected to be completed in January 2019.
