DFAS considers contract for workforce analysis

The Defense Finance and Accounting Service is seeking consulting work for human capital strategic planning and data analytics to make plans for its workforce.

The company will develop and implement scenario planning and predictive workforce planning and modeling. The model will measure whether or not DFAS has the necessary workforce skills to meet future demands and business needs, while also finding gaps in the workforce.

The company will also provide DFAS with data elements so it can set up an effective human capital and talent management planning model. The agency wants the model to use human resource data for future planning, regarding turnover, retirement eligibilities and hiring information, to aid in data-driven decision-making.

DFAS issued a sources sought notice Oct. 5 for a possible three-year consulting contract. The agency will use the responses to gauge interest and capability.

Responses are due by Oct. 19.
