Two companies nab $47.7M contracts to support embedded systems

Two companies have won potentially $47.7 million contracts to improve the security and reliability of the Air Force’s microelectronics and embedded systems.

The winners are:

• Battelle Memorial Institute
• Riverside Research Institute

Under the contracts, the companies will each provide basic, applied, and advanced research and development to develop, evaluate, and facilitate the transition of technologies to improve the security and reliability of microelectronics and embedded systems, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be completed in September 2022.

Both bidders won contracts, the Defense Department said.
