Air Force plans for $9.9M IDIQ for C4I, munitions testing
The Air Force issued a request for information regarding a $9.9 million contract to provide specialized hardware and software for the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information (C4I) and Munitions Test Improvement Contract IV.
The Air Force issued a request for information regarding a $9.9 million contract to provide specialized hardware and software for the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information (C4I) and Munitions Test Improvement Contract IV.
The Air Force wants information from companies to about the potential to rapidly develop and apply unique solutions to all phases of weapon and C4I tests. The solutions should include concepts, concept development and demonstrations, as well as procurements, to quickly meet test and evaluation requirements.
C4I testing includes tests of hardware and software systems used for C4I, including “System of Systems” and hardware and software systems used on aircraft platforms. Munitions testing includes tests of ground-based, airborne, and space-borne ordnance and armament systems and supporting guidance and control, seeker and sensor, and navigation systems.
The contract will center on design, development, test, installation, and transition to production support related to the Eglin Range Complex, test hardware and software systems, facilities, and infrastructure improvements.
The contract will support the 96th Test Wing Range Group, which is based at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. It’s responsible for upgrades and modernization of Eglin test facilities, facility infrastructure, instrumentation, and support systems.
The Air Force expects multiple-award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts. The ordering period could last one year.
The Air Force released the RFI Aug. 25. Responses are due by Sept. 9.
