Progeny Systems awarded $10.9M contract mod for development, integration support

Progeny Systems Corp. has won a $10.9 million contract modification to continue its support of the Navy’s integrated shipboard and shore-based maintenance tool.

Progeny Systems Corp. has won a $10.9 million contract modification to continue its support of the Navy’s integrated shipboard and shore-based maintenance tool.

This contract is part of the Small Business Innovation Research program.

Under the contract, Progeny Systems will continue to develop and integrate required software applications, hardware components, and overall system-level functionality to achieve manpower reduction aboard Navy submarines and ships, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will also advance the currently installed temporary alteration for the wireless sensor network.

Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., and is slated to wrap up in August 2016.
