Lockheed wins $22.4M contract to continue support of Aegis weapon system
Lockheed Martin has won a $22.4 million contract with the Navy to continue to sustain and provide support services for the Aegis Weapon System.

Aegis is a command and control system that uses computers and radars and other systems to track and guide defensive and offensive weapons.
Under the contract, Lockheed will provide support for the critical modernization programs currently in process for the system as well as logistics and sustainment support for the in-service Aegis ship fleet, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J., and Mt. Laurel, N.J., and is expected to be completed by June 2017.
