TASC wins $7M contract to support Air Force cyber assessments

TASC Inc. has won a $7 million contract to provide the Air Force with engineering and technical support.

Under the contract, TASC will provide management, engineering and technical support services required to support the establishment, maintenance and evolution of the 92nd Information Operations Squadron cyber assessment program, the Defense Department said in a release.

Through the cyber assessment program, the 92nd Information Operations Squadron actively tests Air Force network and specific mission systems to determine their security posture and identify any vulnerabilities they may have so that the systems can be fixed, according to the Air Force website.

Work will be performed in San Antonio, Texas, and is expected to be completed May 31, 2015.
