Exelis has won a contract to support the Changi Airport Group Pte. Ltd. by deploying its OSYRIS pre-departure sequence planner at Singapore Changi Airport.
The OSYRIS planner minimizes aircraft queue lengths and taxiing time to deliver a predictable flow of traffic to the runways, said Frank Koehne, managing director of Exelis Orthogon, in a release.
The solution will help passengers enjoy more predicable departure schedules and fewer airport delays, Koehne said.
Exelis is being acquired by Harris in a $4.75 billion cash and stock deal that is expected to close by June.
Harris called the deal transformational as it will significantly increase its size and add $3.25 billion in revenue to its $5 billion in revenue.
This contract is an example of the kind of work Exelis will being to Harris once the deal closes.
