Northrop Grumman wins $148.3M contract to provide Hawkeye UAV

Northrop Grumman has won a $148.3 million contract to provide the Navy with an additional E-2D Advanced Hawkeye unmanned aerial vehicle.

Northrop Grumman has won a $148.3 million contract to provide the Navy with an additional E-2D Advanced Hawkeye unmanned aerial vehicle.

The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye is the Navy’s carrier-based Airborne Early Warning and Battle Management Command and Control aircraft.

First flown in 2007, the aircraft has advanced radar sensor and network-enabled capabilities, providing situational awareness to the warfighter, Northrop Grumman said on its website.

Work will be performed in Melbourne, Fla., St. Augustine, Fla., El Segundo, Calif., Indianapolis, Ind., Menlo Park, Calif., and Rolling Meadows, Ill., and is expected to wrap up in July 2018.
