Raytheon acquires UAV system solutions firm

Raytheon has acquired Sensintel in a move that boost’s Raytheon’s unmanned aircraft systems solutions in the intelligence and special operations markets.

Raytheon has acquired Sensintel in a move that boost’s Raytheon’s unmanned aircraft systems solutions in the intelligence and special operations markets.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Tucson, Ariz.-based Sensintel brings 50 employees to Raytheon’s Missile Systems business.

The company also brings relationships with the Special Operations Command, Office of Naval Research and the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory to Raytheon.
