PSC sets up six new tech council committees

The Professional Services Council has created six new tech council committees meant to provide thought leadership and practical advice and actions on technology issues.

The committees and group leaders are:

Tech Best Practices Committee, meant to ensure that federal agencies have access to and understanding of technology best practices. The committee will be led by Accenture’s Tom Greiner and Amazon Web Services’ Max Peterson.

Cloud Computing Case Study Working Group, meant to undertake a short-term project to document the value-proposition of consumption-based buying for cloud computing. The working group will be led by Amazon Web Services’ Max Peterson and IBM’s Michelle Rudnicki.

Tech Innovation Committee, meant to identify and champion new ideas, technologies and disruptinos that will change the federal tech marketplace and facilitate sharing of commercial innovation for implementation in the federal government. The committee will be led by Deloitte’s Robin Lineberger and AT&T’s Casey Coleman.

Tech 45 Working Group, meant to deliver a technology agenda for the next administration while also recommending near-term legislative actions. The working group will be led by Cisco’s Alan Balutis, ACT/IAC’s Dan Chenok and Veris’ Dave McClure.

Cybersecurity Committee, meant to establish a set of activities and deliverables around key cybersecurity topics facing the federal government. The committee will be led by ICF International’s Sam Visner and CSC’s Rob Carey.

PSC Tech 2015 Conference Committee, which is meant to set the agenda for the 2015 PSC Tech Conference. It will be led by IBM’s Anne Altman and Dell’s George Newstrom.
