SRI to help identify counterfeit electronics under $6.8M contract
SRI International has won a $6.8 million contract to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s SHIELD program to identify counterfeit electronics.
SRI International has won a $6.8 million contract to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s SHIELD program to identify counterfeit electronics.
The Supply Chain Hardware Integrity for Electronics Defense program aims to develop an advanced supply chain hardware authentication system and a capability that can detect counterfeit electronic components anywhere in the supply chain, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will be performed in Menlo Park, Calif., Portland, Ore., San Diego, Calif., and Santa Clara, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 2016.
DARPA awarded a similar contract to Northrop Grumman earlier this week.
