Northrop nabs $963.5M contract to support missile subsystems
Northrop Grumman has won a five-year, $963.5 million contract to support the Air Force’s Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Ground Subsystems with program management and other services.
Northrop Grumman has won a five-year, potentially $963.5 million contract to support the Air Force’s Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground Subsystems.
The initial award is worth $4.4 million.
Under the contract, the company will provide program management support, engineering services and emergency response.
The company will also provide weapon system analyses, system and subsystems assessment, and technical advisement and assistance to the ICBM Systems Directorate on ground systems-related programs, risk management and mitigation, Northrop Grumman said in a release.
The award extends a more than 50-year relationship between Northrop Grumman and the Air Force, said Steve Hogan, sector vice president and general manager, Integrated Logistics and Modernization division.
Work will be performed at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Omaha, Neb., Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., and San Bernardino, Calif., and is expected to wrap up in January 2019.
Northrop Grumman beat out one other company to win this contract, according to the Defense Department.
