Booz Allen wins $23.3M contract for launch, test range support

Booz Allen Hamilton wins $23.3 million contract to provide the Air Force with systems engineering and integration support for a launch and test range system.

The test range system consists of ground-based command destruct, communications, data handling, flight safety, optical, planning and scheduling, radar, surveillance, timing and sequencing, telemetry, and weather subsystem assets, according to the Los Angeles Air Force Base, which utilizes the system.

The system’s mission to provide the Defense Department, NASA, Missile Defense Agency, national and commercial customers a reliable, integrated system to support spacecraft launch, ballistic missile, and aeronautical testing. 

Work will take place at Los Angeles Air Force Base in Los Angeles, Calif., and is expected to be completed in December 2015.
