Longbow LLC wins $18.5M option to support Apache helicopters

Longbow LLC has won an $18.5 million option with the Army to support the military’s Apache AH-64D helicopters.

Longbow LLC has won an $18.5 million option with the Army to support the military’s Apache AH-64D helicopters.

Longbow is a joint venture between defense giants Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman.

Under the contract, the company will provide management and logistics for all U.S. government Apache AH-64D helicopter fire control units, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2015.
