Three firms win spots on $42.4M VA contract for remidiation support services

Three companies have won spots on a potentially $42.2 million contract to provide Office of Management and Budget Circular No. A-123 and remediation support services to the Veterans Affairs Department’s Internal Controls Service division.

Three companies have won spots on a $42.2 million contract to provide Office of Management and Budget Circular No. A-123 and remediation support services to the Veterans Affairs Department’s Internal Controls Service division.

The winners are:

  • MorganFranklin Consulting
  • Grant Thornton
  • KPMG

The Internal Controls Service division is responsible for planning and conducting department-wide reviews of internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with OMB Circular A-123, Appendix A, Management’s Responsibility for Internal Control, MorganFranklin said in a release.

Services under this contract will include documenting processes and key internal controls, identifying improvements, and implementing effective internal controls remediation activities to prevent and detect any weaknesses that could affect the agency’s mission, said Bill Hughes, MorganFranklin managing director and leader of public sector market.
