Northrop Grumman taps new VP within Aerospace Systems sector

Northrop Grumman has named U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Richard “Scott” Stapp vice president of technology development for the company’s Aerospace Systems sector.

In his new role, Stapp will bring to the table his more than 30 years of experience with the Defense Department and intelligence community, as well as his experience in positions within several government offices and agencies, Northrop Grumman said in a release.

He was most recently director, special programs, for Office of the Secretary of Defense, where he was responsible for the governance, acquisition, oversight and external liaison for all Defense Department special access programs.

Stapp holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wyoming and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico, as well as another master’s degree in natural resource management from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
