Booz Allen wins $64.5M contract to improve government acquisition

Booz Allen Hamilton has won a $64.5 million contract with the General Services Administration to improve the government’s acquisition processes.

Under the contract, Booz Allen Hamilton will develop a cloud service broker solution for GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service's Office of Integrated Award Environment. The company that will provide core applications with hosting, search , database and data store, reports, visualization, identity and access management and application programming interface management, Booz Allen said in a release.

The company will help the agency apply cloud and open-source solutions across the FSA’s acquisition lifecycle.

“The GSA is leading by example,” remarked Munjeet Singh, principal, Booz Allen Hamilton. “Over time, the open source, cloud environment supporting the GSA’s acquisition process will inspire other Federal agencies to apply the same approach.”
