Lockheed to provide common F-35 air system to Israel under $7.7M contract
Lockheed Martin has won a $7.7 million contract with the Navy to develop a Common F-35A Air System for the government of Israel.
Lockheed Martin has won a $7.7 million contract with the Navy to develop a Common F-35A Air System for the government of Israel.
The F-35 is the first tactical aviation system to have sustainment tools engineered in concert with the aircraft for efficiency and cost effectiveness, Lockheed Martin said in a release.
The air system will include the Air Vehicle and the Autonomic Logistics Global Sustainment systems.
Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed in December 2017.
