Lockheed wins $90.6M option to support Qatari Apache pilots

Lockheed Martin has won a $90.6 million option with the Army to help Qatari Apache helicopter pilots navigate during day, night and adverse weather missions.

This option was awarded under the Army’s Lot 6 contract, which Lockheed won in May 2014, the company said.

Under the foreign military sales contract, Lockheed Martin will provide Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) systems to the Qatar Emiri Air Force.

This contract makes the Qatar Emiri Air Force one of the first international customers to receive M-TADS/PNVS systems equipped with the new modernized laser range finder designator, Mike Taylor, Apache international programs director at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, said in a release.
