Who won September's biggest contracts?

Fiscal 2014 ended with a roar of contract awards, but you had to crack nine figures to make the top 10 largest contract awards. Who finished the year with the biggest wins?

As expected, contract award momentum picked up a great deal in September as the fourth and final quarter of fiscal 2014 came to a close.

In September we reported on 58 contract awards, a head-and-shoulders increase over August’s 46.

To make the top 10 list this time around, you had to have won a contract more than $118.1 million.

Of all of the top 10 contracts, nine were awarded by some branch of the military.

10. AAI Corp. to assist Navy with unmanned minesweep system

AAI Corp. has won a potentially $118.1 million contract to support the Navy’s Unmanned Influence Sweep System (UISS).

9. Leidos nabs $150M contract to support Army anti-IED system

Leidos has won a $150 million contract to support the Army’s Saturn Arch effort to battle improvised explosive devices.

8. Lockheed wins $158.8M Navy contract for radar systems

Lockheed Martin has won a potentially $158.8 million contract to produce and field Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) Block 2 systems for the Navy.

7. CACI International nabs $212M enterprise IT BPA to support DHS

CACI International has nabbed a $212 million blanket purchase agreement to provide desktop support services to the Homeland Security department.

6. GD captures $311M sub design, support work

General Dynamics’ wholly owned subsidiary Electric Boat received a $311 million contract from the Navy to providing engineering and technical support for nuclear submarines.

5. Northrop Grumman wins $354M contract to increase Air Force's Global Hawk fleet

Northrop Grumman has won a $354 million contract to add three more RQ-4 Global Hawk UAVs to the Air Force’s fleet.

4. PAE wins $359M contract to support Navy test range

PAE has won a potentially $359 million contract to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Atlantic Test Range and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations Division.

3. SAIC wins $423.8M recompete

Science Applications International Corp. has hung on to a lucrative contract to provide the military with a variety of logistics support and base maintenance services.

2. Eleven companies win spots on $444M T&E contract

Eleven companies have won spots on a $444 million contract to provide test and evaluation support to the Army.

1. 21 win $7.2B Army intell contract

In an effort to acquire the best global intelligence support it can, the Army has awarded eleven large and ten small businesses spots on a five-year, $7.2 billion contract for global intelligence support services acquisition.

The large business portion of the contract is worth $5 billion. The winners are:
