HumanTouch LLC has acquired CorasWorks Corp. in a move that brings together platform-as-a-service and information solutions with management solutions built on the Microsoft SharePoint platforms.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal will help HumanTouch strengthen its platform-as-as-service business because CorasWorks allows organizations to capitalize on their existing investments in Microsoft SharePoint to design, develop and deploy solutions quickly, and with security and sound infrastructure, HumanTouch said in a release.

“CorasWorks has a depth of products and solutions that significantly expand our ecosystem that allows for quick application development, ease of configuration and one-touch deployment. This is integral to our goal of being recognized as an integrated product and services company that produces ‘just-in-time’ solutions to reduce risk and accelerate business value.,” said Jim Benson, senior vice president at HumanTouch.

The company expects platform-as-a-service to grow at a rate of 41 percent through 2016, citing a study conducted by Market Monitor.

On the opposite end, HumanTouch will accelerate CorasWork’s cloud-based strategy.

“By joining forces with HumanTouch, we will accelerate our vision of bringing our Visual Design Canvas for rapid configuration based applications to the Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Cloud,” said CorasWorks CTO Dan Naselius.
