Who won July's biggest contracts?

The number of contract awards reported in July was shy of June's number by one, but the values this time around were hefty. Who made the list?

Contract award momentum slowed just barely in July, but there were still a good number of awards made.

July 2014 saw 44 contracts being reported, which is just shy of June’s 45.

Despite the fewer number of contract awards reported, contract values were up. To make the list this time around, you have to have won a contract more than $162 million. Last month, the lowest contract to make the list was $89 million. 

July’s Top 10 list saw one international contract.

Additionally, there was a tie for fifth place with two awards totaling $300 million.

The top contract awards for June kicks off at number 10:

10. ASM Research to modernize veterans health record system under $162M contract

ASM Research has won a $162 contract from the Veterans Affairs Department to support the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Clinical Application and Enterprise Core Services.

9. Northrop Grumman to support National Guard training center under $205M contract

Northrop Grumman has won a $205 million contract to continue providing the National Guard with mission logistics services in support of combat brigades training.

8. Maximus subsidiary wins $226M U.K. health care contract

Health Management Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maximus, has won a $226 million contract to support the United Kingdom’s Work and Pensions Department.

7. Wyle wins $270M program management contract with NASA

Wyle has won a $270 million contract to provide mission support to NASA at its Ames Research Center in Moffet Field, Calif.

6. AT&T to install secure IP telephony systems under $275M State Department task order

AT&T Government Solutions has won a task order potentially worth $275 million to provide the State Department with secure IP telephony systems to U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide.

5. Northrop Grumman nabs $300M contract for Air Force weather services

Northrop Grumman has won a $300 million contract to help support the Air Force’s enterprise information systems.

5. 6 win $300M armament research contract

Six companies have won a contract to support the Army’s Armament, Research, Development, and Engineering Center, which is based primarily at the Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey.

4. SRA International tapped to provide communications, IT under $350M contract

SRA International has won a $350 million contract to provide communications and information technology support to the United States European Command, the United States Africa Command and the 5th Signal Command.

3. Cubic wins $500M contract for threat training support

Cubic Applications has won a $500 million contract to provide the Defense Threat Reduction Agency with training related to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosives.

2. SGT Inc. wins $1.3B contract to support International Space Station

SGT Inc. has won a $1.3 billion contract with NASA to provide mission and flight crew operations support for the International Space Station and future human exploration.
