Alion wins $10M nanotechnology contract with Air Force

Alion Science and Technology has won a $10 million contract to provide the Air Force with nanotechnology development and technology transfer.

Alion Science and Technology has won a $10 million contract to provide the Air Force with nanotechnology development and technology transfer.

The contract is known as the AMMTIAC contract, which provides technical, engineering and expertise in nanotechnology applications in materials, manufacturing and testing of interest to the military, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Rome, New York, N.Y., and Crane, Ind., and is expected to be completed December 2016.
