Raytheon-Lockheed venture adds work to Javelin missile business

A Raytheon and Lockheed Martin joint venture that builds the Javelin shoulder-fired missile has a contract to provide maintenance and training to foreign buyers.

The Raytheon-Lockheed Martin joint venture that makes the shoulder mounted Javelin missile has won a $15.6 million foreign military sales contract for support and training for the weapon.

The country’s buying the support for maintenance of command launch units and training devices are:

  • Czech Republic
  • Indonesia
  • Ireland
  • Jordan
  • New Zealand
  • Norway
  • Oman
  • Taiwan

Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and will run through July 8, 2016.

Bids were solicited by only the Raytheon-Lockheed team bid.
