Sikorsky Aircraft wins potential $7.9B contract to modernize combat rescue helicopters
Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has won a potentially $7.9 billion contract with the Air Force to make updates within the Combat Rescue Helicopter program.
Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has won a potentially $7.9 billion contract with the Air Force to make updates within the Combat Rescue Helicopter program.
The contract has a base value of $1.3 billion.
Under the contract, Sikorsky will replace aging HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter with new air vehicles, training systems and product support, the Defense Department said in a release.
The company will provide the Air Force with 112 new helicopters.
Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by June 2029.
