LexisNexis acquires mobile, handheld software firm

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has acquired iyeTek in a move that strengthens LexisNexis’ mobile and handheld software solutions for law enforcement agencies. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The two companies will together help law enforcement agencies fully automate their accident reporting process and lowering costs while improving information sharing and investigative capabilities, LexisNexis said in a release.

The two companies already offer a joint solution, LexisNexis eCrash, developed by LexisNexis with iyeTek technology for the New Mexico State Police, St. Louis Sheriff, Orlando Police Department and Miami Dade Police Department.
