Parsons deepens cybersecurity capability through latest acquisition

Parsons Corp. has acquired Secure Mission Solutions in a move that boosts Parsons’ critical asset protection and delivery, cybersecurity services, sustainment and protection.

Parsons Corp. has acquired Secure Mission Solutions in a move that boosts Parsons’ critical asset protection and delivery, cybersecurity services, sustainment and protection.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Reston Va.-based Secure Mission Solutions has more than 550 employees around the globe and is positioned in the cybersecurity and electronic security markets, Parsons said in a release.

“This acquisition is another important step toward meeting our strategic goal of expanding our national security and defense business, and it strengthens our offerings to new and existing customers for their most vital missions,” said Chuck Harrington, Parsons’ Chairman and CEO.

“The addition of Secure Mission Solutions’ capabilities to our current offerings in infrastructure, national security, and defense strongly positions Parsons in the growing cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection market,” he said.

Secure Mission Solutions will become part of Parsons’ government services business unit.

Parsons acquired Secure Mission Solutions from the private equity firm Riordan Lewis & Haden Equity Partners. Houlihan Lokey served as executive advisor to Secure Mission Solutions.
