Northrop Grumman hires Japanese Self Defense Force vet
Northrop Grumman has tapped retired Col. Toshihiko Seki to head the company’s Air Power Programs based in Tokyo.
Northrop Grumman has tapped retired Col. Toshihiko Seki to head the company’s Air Power Programs based in Tokyo.
In his new role, Seki will support Japan’s current fleet of 13 Northrop Grumman E-2C early warning aircraft, as well as identifying how Northrop Grumman’s ISR capabilities can assist the Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF), the company said in a news release.
Seki is a 30-year veteran of the JASDF and a graduate of Rikkyo University and the Japan Command and Staff course.
During his military career, he served as commander of the JASDF’s 501st Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, chief of plans and programs for Japanese forces deployed in Iraq, and head of plans and operations for the Air Development Command, among other roles.
