York International nabs $11M contract to support modernization programs

York International Corp. has won an $11.1 million contract to provide the Navy with engineering and technical support services.

York International Corp. has won an $11.1 million contract to provide the Navy with engineering and technical support services.

Under the contract, York International will provide engineering and technical support services to provide research, development, testing and evaluation for shipboard air conditioning and refrigeration modernization programs, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in York, Pa., and is expected complete by February 2017.

Funding in the amount of $935,000 is obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2014.
