Seven win $232.9M prototyping contract with Navy

Seven have won contracts to provide the Navy with development, product improvement, prototyping, qualification and production support.

The winners are:

• Eastern Research Group -- $10.8 million
• Martin-Baker Aircraft Co. -- $32.1 million
• Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials -- $36.7 million
• General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems -- $30.4 million
• Hi-Shear Technology Corp. -- $33.4 million
• Nammo Talley -- $40.5 million

The contracts have a total combined value of $232.9 million.

Work will be performed in Lexington, Mass., Hollister, Calif., Bothell, Wash., Torrance, Calif., Mesa, Ariz., Simsbury, Conn., and in the United Kingdom, and is expected to be completed by February 2015.

Funding in the amount of $3,500 is obligated at the time of the award, and will expire at the end of fiscal 2014.
