L3 wins $6.5M contract to support tanker aircraft
L3 Vertex Aerospace has won a $6.5 million contract to provide the Navy with maintenance and logistics services.
L3 Communications Vertex Aerospace has won a $6.5 million contract to provide the Navy with maintenance and logistics services for tanker operations.
The services will support the KC-130J aircraft for the government of Kuwait under the Foreign Military Sales program.
The KC-130 aircraft is an extended-range tanker aircraft that is manufactured by Lockheed Martin.
Work will be performed at Al Mubarak Airbase, Kuwait. The contract runs through August 2015.
Funding in the full amount of the contract is obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2014.
