Air Force taps Ohio firm for intell research project
UES Inc. has won a $46.2 million contract with the Air Force to help with research on biosignatures and how they can add intelligence and surveillance operations.
UES Inc. has won a $46.2 million contract for research support as part of the Air Force's Molecular Signatures program.
Under the contract, UES will develop technologies to discover, characterize, detect and analyze complex biosignatures in order to provide tools for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and human performance assessment, the Defense Department said.
Multiple sensing modalities will be used to measure molecular signatures for increased situational awareness, the Defense Department said.
Work will be performed in Dayton, Ohio, and at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by May 15, 2020.
Three bids were received for this contract.
UES is a woman-owned, small business in Dayton, Ohio, that provides scientific, technical, and research support to government agencies.
