SPAWAR looking to modify data center consolidation strategy

SPAWAR is looking for information on companies that could help modify the Navy’s data center consolidation strategy to maximize cost savings and cost avoidance, increase efficiency and increase cybersecurity.

The agency is seeking industry ideas, best practices and feedback regarding the delivery and support of an expanded data center consolidation, or DCC, execution strategy that includes application rationalization, modernization, virtualization, data migration and hosting, business process re-engineering and integration of the expanded DCC effort, according to the FedBizOpps notice.

The agency is looking for the lowest cost solution that is technically acceptable and meets DCC standards.

Contractors are asked to provide detailed information in the areas of system/application evaluation and business process re-engineering, system/application modernization, system/application virtualization, system/application and data migration and hosting, and integration of the entire DCC effort across tiers one through four.
