Allen-Vanguard captures pair of foreign military training contracts

Allen-Vanguard International was tapped by the U.S. Navy to help the Polish Armed Forces and the Azerbaijan Navy train its personnel in bomb disposal techniques.

Allen-Vanguard International has won a pair of U.S. Navy contracts to help the Polish Armed Forces and the Azerbaijan Navy train its personnel in bomb disposal techniques.

For the Azerbaijan Navy, the company will deliver training courses on disposing of explosive ordnance and improvised explosive devices under a $2.8 million contract. The training also will include diving and instructor training.

The courses will include basic explosives disposal, advanced disposal, command, control and planning and combat diver training, the company said in a release.

The contract was awarded through the U.S. Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center.

For the Polish Armed Forces, Allen-Vanguard will be providing explosives disposal training courses that involve threat assessment, tactical post blast investigation, security integration and other hands on scenarios.

The courses will blend theoretical and practical exercise, and will be completed by the end of the year.

The $1.57 million contract also was awarded by the Naval Surface Warfare Center.
