SAIC wins $49M Navy pact helping bomb techs
SAIC has won a $49 million contract to provide radiographic systems to the Navy that help bomb technicians analyze devices and munitions.
Science Applications International Corp. has won a $49.4 million contract with the U.S. Navy to provide radiographic systems.
These radiographic systems provide military services with a portable system that provides real-time downrange imaging capability, assisting explosive ordnance disposal technicians in analyzing and determining the condition of a device or munitions, the Defense Department said.
Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 2014.
Funding in the amount of $30.7 million is obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
