Northrop wins $15.5M contract to continue Hawkeye support

Northrop Grumman has won a contract with the Navy to continue its support of the Advanced Hawkeye Program.

Northrop Grumman has won a $15.5 million contract to continue its support for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Program.

Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will conduct a proof of concept trade study for the design, build, test and evaluation of an advanced high gain frequency electronically scanned array, the Defense Department said.

Work will be performed in Kapolei, Hawaii, Bethpage, N.Y., and Stockton, Calif., and is expected to be completed by November 2015.

Funding in the full amount of the contract is obligated at the time of the award, $7 million of which will expire at the end of fiscal 2013.

Just yesterday, the company won a similar contract for Hawkeye program support.
