Progeny Systems wins Navy weapon simulator work

Progeny Systems Corp. has won a $7 million contract with the Navy to support the multi-tube weapon simulator and other products and services.

Progeny Systems Corp. has won a $7 million contract with the Navy to continue support for the multi-tube weapon simulator and common weapon launcher products and services.

Under the contract, Progeny will include the necessary technical services and associated products to support technology improvements and enhanced capabilities for in-service CWL and MTWS systems in support of the AN/BYG-1 combat control system, the Defense Department said.

Under the Foreign Military Sales program, this contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy and the Australian government.

Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 2014.

Funding in the amount of $139,202 is obligated at the time of the award, and will expire at the end of fiscal 2013.

Progeny just recently won a contract under the Small Business Innovation Research program.
