13 win $900M Navy cybersecurity contract

Thirteen companies have won a contract with the Navy to provide integrated cyber operations services in support of C4ISR systems. They'll now compete for task orders for a variety of services. Who captured this plum prize?

Thirteen companies have won a $899.5 million contract with the U.S. Navy to provide integrated cyber operations services to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center.

Under this new contract, the companies will compete for task orders to provide integrated cyber operations services, including full lifecycle support of C5ISR information operations, enterprise information services and space capabilities, the Defense Department said.

Lifecyle support services include research, development, test, evaluation, production and fielding of sustainable, secure and interoperable C5ISR systems, information operations, enterprise information services and space capabilities

  • URS Federal Services

The contract is part of the Cyber Intelligence Information Operations Portfolio Pillar and has a base of $179.9 million for the first year. If the option years are exercised, the value rises to $899.5 million. Work will take place worldwide, depending on the requirements of the individual task orders.

Tasks orders will deliver capabilities to operate, secure and defend networks and data in support of the warfighter's mission, according to a Navy website.

The contract will support a wide-range of defense units and agencies, including the chief of naval operations, the Naval Network Warfare Command, fleet operational commands, U.S. Special Operations Command, and the Defense Threat Reducation Agency, according to solicitation documents posted on Deltek's GovWin site.

Some of the services include program management, cryptographic products support, systems engineering, and secure wireless network infrastructure support.

Funding in the amount of $25,000 was obligated at the time of the award, to be split among the winners.
