IRS feels heat over inappropriate contractor friendship
The IRS is feeling the heat over an inappropriate relationship between its former deputy director and a contractor.
The Internal Revenue Service is feeling the heat after an improper and false statements made about a friendship between an IRS deputy director and a contractor, according to Government Executive.
Gregory Roseman, the recently relieved IRS deputy director of IRS Enterprise Networks and Tier Systems Support allegedly steered a contract toward Strong Castle CEO, Braulio Castillo, who is accused of making false statements about a physical disability and the qualifications of his firm.
Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., released a report on Tuesday containing some harsh words on the matter, saying that the IRS has “made a mockery of fair and open competition for government contracts,” he was quoted as saying.
