PacStar wins $4.6M Army contract for wireless training networks

PacStar has won a contract to supply U.S. Army Reserve Centers with wireless LAN equipment, setting up a network that will enable secure wireless distribution and access to training materials and video.

PacStar has won a $4.6 million contract with the U.S. Army to supply U.S. Army Reserve Centers with wireless LAN equipment.

Under the contract, PacStar will provide the centers with Aruba Networks Inc. wireless LAN equipment, and will implement a standardized wireless LAN rollout for up to 900 training rooms and centers, the company said.

The standardized network will enable secure wireless distribution and access to training materials and video.

The contract was awarded to PacStar through its ITES contract partner.
