Lockheed Martin wins $7M option for software development
Lockheed Martin has won a contract option with the Navy to provide software development in support of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons System.
Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services has won a $7.2 million option with the U.S. Navy for software development in support of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System.
Under the option, Lockheed Martin will provide systems engineering, software, hardware deployment and support and management efforts, the Defense Department said.
This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy and the United Kingdom under the Foreign Military Sales program.
Work will be performed in King of Prussia, Pa., and is expected to be completed in June 2014.
Funds in the amount of $6 million are obligated at the time of the award, of which $58,800 will expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
