Three win $99M contract for anti-terrorism force protection

Three companies have won a $99 million contract with the U.S. Navy for physical security access control at Navy shore installations, including joint bases assigned to the Navy.

The winners are:

• Alutiiq Pacific
• Securityhunter Inc.
• Split Pine Technologies

Under the contract, these three companies will perform services including design, procurement, installation, integration, testing and initial training for anti-terrorism force protection hardware and software.

Securityhunter Inc. has won an additional task order worth $2.7 million for design, procurement, installation, integration, testing and initial training for anti-terrorism hardware and software of the General Enclave and Automated Vehicle Gate Low Volume Reeves Gate at the Naval Air Station Lemoore in Lemoore, Calif., the Defense Department said.

Work is expected to be completed by May 2016.

Funds in the amount of $2.7 million are being obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013.

Sixteen bids were received for this contract.
