Lockheed names three execs to Australian board
Lockheed Martin has named three executives to its Australian board of director, in a move that coincides with recent news that the contracting giant is looking to buy another Australian IT company.
Lockheed Martin has named three new members to its Lockheed Martin Australia board of directors as part of the company’s international growth strategy.
One of the appointments is Sondra Barbour, the new executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions. She took over the post after Linda Gooden stepped down on April 1. Gooden retires on May 1.
These Australian appointments coincide with the company's latest diversification push, with the company reportedly in the hunt to buy another Australian IT company.
Besides Barbour, Lockheed also appointed:
Gary North is vice president for customer requirements, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, where he ensures that the company fulfills U.S. government and international F-35 program customer requirements.
Dale P. Bennett is executive vice president, Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training, where he oversees programs for the U.S. Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy.
